The WLP council is committed to volunteer service and living the Virginia Tech motto: Ut Prosim (That I may serve). The council encourages all alumnae and friends of the university to visit the VT Engage website and commit to completing 10 hours of community service before April 16, 2008.

Women and Leadership in Philanthropy (WLP)
is a Virginia Tech initiative to involve women in the university community—both alumnae and friends. WLP encourages women in the Virginia Tech family to give back to the university by taking on leadership and philanthropic roles. Our members support the university by making gifts, serving on advisory boards, speaking at university gatherings, and discussing policies with administration officials. They also support and learn from each other and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Through WLP events, Virginia Tech is able to build positive relationships with our most important women—women who can make a difference in our future.
You’re Invited!
WLP membership is open to all Virginia Tech alumnae and friends. Women who make gifts of any size to Virginia Tech receive automatic WLP membership and a subscription to the semiannual WLP newsletter.
